Tourism attractions, wildlife reserves and local food & wine destinations across Phillip Island have banded together to create a way for locked-down Aussies to experience a taste of the Island from home, announcing a jam-packed weekend itinerary to enjoy virtually.

Taking place this weekend on Saturday 9th October and Sunday 10th October on Phillip Island’s Instagram channel, activities will showcase many of the amazing experiences on offer on Victoria’s holiday playground. The completely free virtual event features a program of activities to excite a range of interests and ages and allows would-be travellers to tune in to as little or as many of the virtual sessions as they choose.

Kicking off with morning yoga on Saturday at 7am, the weekend continues with the famous pelican feeding and a fish battering demonstration at the San Remo Fisherman’s Co-Op, an animal experience at Maru Koala and Animal Park, followed by the famous Penguin Parade livestream via Facebook in the evening.

The following day guides viewers through a calming sunrise wake-up at 6.30am at one of Phillip Island’s iconic scenic beach spots, followed by a ranger Q&A from the Koala Conservation Reserve, a native ingredient bushwalk at Wild Food Farm Café, and wraps up with a wine walk-through hosted at Phillip Island Winery. Those who would like to taste the wines along with walk-through are invited to pre-buy the bespoke pack via the Phillip Island Winery website to enjoy at a further date.

*Current COVID delivery delays mean wine packs may not arrive by Sunday 9th October
