On Friday, their great big bandicoot is coming out of hiding. Created from natural materials by artists Darryl Cordell, Vanessa Ellis and Trinia Gaskell, this beautiful sculpture likes to have somewhere cosy to sleep – just like the last remaining population of southern brown bandicoots in urban Melbourne, which have found a refuge in Cranbourne Gardens.
