The Phillip Island and San Remo Destination Management Plan: Towards 2033 was adopted by key stakeholders in early 2024.
Recognising that tourism is one of the main economic drivers of Phillip Island and San Remo, the State Government together with Bass Coast Shire Council, Destination Phillip Island and Phillip Island Nature Parks developed a 10-year Destination Management Plan (DMP) for the region to recognise and realise the full value of tourism by ensuring it is a positive force for people, nature, and our economy over the next 10 years.
The ultimate aim is to create lasting, net-positive impacts and support a thriving tourism sector.
