Mingara Gallery is delighted to bring together two of our most popular artists, Sara Paxton and Laurel Foenander.
Sara is renown for her ability to paint the Australian landscape in its most evocative state. She is often inspired by Victoria’s natural beauty. She uses vivid colour and contemporary form to bring a sense of the sublime to her work.
Laurel has a deep affection for her local birdlife. She loves to capture their individual characteristics and depicts them with extraordinary realism. Laurel hopes that her portrayal of the beauty and uniqueness of the native birdlife may encourage the appreciation of these birds and of our natural environment.
Through a shared love of nature, the works of these two artists are beautifully complimentary.
The exhibition opens Saturday 8th April at 1:00pm and runs until Sunday 7th May.
Come to the opening and meet the artists!
