iFish TV Visits Phillip Island

We teamed up with Network 10’s iFish TV for a mammoth episode showcasing the adventure-mecca that is this south-coast travel destination, airing 5pm 21st November 2021 on 10 Bold.

A favourite holiday location for many Australians, Phillip Island hosted iFish TV for four days of exploring the island’s adrenaline, wildlife and nature, and family-friendly activities – and of course, plenty of fishing on Victoria’s Bass Coast.

iFish host, Paul Worstling, and his team took in the scenery, experiences and tastes of the island with a Helicopter Ride courtesy of Phillip Island Helicopters, a spin in a Ocean Adventures Jet Boat, a visit to the ever-popular Koala Conservation Reserve, got lost in the A Maze’N Things adventure park maze, and took a tour through the delicious Phillip Island Chocolate Factory.

Australia’s young, fresh and vibrant fishing show, iFish, travels to all corners of Australia – and around the world – in search of the ultimate angling experience, and now Phillip Island is the latest destination gracing the screens for this popular fishing program.

We asked Paul to give us his top 5 fishing tips:

- Always target a specific species. Not a fish.

- Fresh locally caught bait is best.

- Fish the peak times, not when it suits you.

- The best time to catch a fish is within 10 minutes of catching a fish.

- Above all. Have fun and enjoy the moment.
